About
About me
I'm Mohamed Taous, known as Moe.
I'm a software engineer working across backend systems, applied AI, and developer tooling. At Versaterm, I work with enterprise public-safety software, investigating production issues, contributing to application fixes, and improving engineering workflows. I've led a six-person team developing an AI-powered knowledge platform, introduced modern development workflows to a group of 15+ engineers, and built independent full-stack and AI applications.
I'm interested in reliable software, thoughtful architecture, and practical applications of AI—not technology for its own sake.

What my work spans
I build software, AI-powered applications, and developer tools that make complex systems easier to use, maintain, and improve.
My work spans backend development, enterprise applications, production troubleshooting, AI integrations, and full-stack products. I bring an understanding of how software behaves in production alongside the drive to design and build better systems.
How I work
I start with the problem, understand the system and its constraints, and choose tools that serve the outcome. I value clear architecture, maintainability, practical automation, and collaboration across engineering and product teams.
My interests sit where backend engineering, developer experience, and applied AI meet.
Current direction
I'm focused on software engineering roles involving backend development, applied AI, developer tooling, and platform systems. I want to build and own software products, contribute to architectural decisions, and solve meaningful engineering problems.
